Yes, you read that title correctly. And I have no explanation why. Although I could be phrasing that a bit strongly...

I was in Rio's room for all of ten minutes and when I get back, I open the door to find this girl from down the hall sitting on my roommate, Lauren's bed, asking me to leave the room for a few minutes. I had a feeling that Lauren was upset over some new development with her boyfriend, so I said "Okay" and just walked right back to Rio's room.

I told Rio about it and she's more upset about it than I am, considering how she's been pestering me to go to bed since I'm disease-ridden (again... *sighs*). If I wasn't incredibly congested, then I might actually care, but my reaction time's slow right now and I don't feel up to dealing with Lauren or this other girl.

The only thing about the whole situation that bothered me, though, was that I was in Rio's room for thirty minutes after I was asked to leave and when I came back just now, the door was locked and Lauren was nowhere to be found. I dunno. It just would have been nice to have been notified that it was okay for me to enter again.

(I'm being silly, aren't I? Yes. Yes I am. And it's okay for you to agree with me on how silly I'm being... XD)

You aren't being silly. At least I don't think you are. If anything, that girl should have been the one to get up and take your roommate with her out of the room if she really thought they needed privacy. It's your room, too, it's so rude to ask you to leave. If your roommate herself had done the asking, I would understand, sort of. But if anything, yeah, your roommate should have at least notified you when it was safe to re-enter. Roommates! They so crazy, sometimes.

One of my old roommates used to bring her bf into our room ALL THE TIME. Whether or not I was there. And he'd spend the night. SO AWKWARD. Hopefully your roomie doesn't do shit like that. :(

Thanks. :) I felt as though I wasn't being silly, but I also felt as though I sounded a bit whiny. Yeah, if my roommate had asked me, then I wouldn't have minded as much.

Oh, no. My roommate brings her boyfriend into the room, but I'm friends with him, so I don't mind, and it's never to spend the night since he has his own place off-campus.

I was friends with my roommate's bf, so I didn't mind him being there generally, 'cause he was cool. But there'd be times when he'd be there AND THEY'D GET UNDERNEATH HER COVERS AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT? OVER THERE. And I'd be studying or something going "Uh...guys please don't have sex while I'm in the room PLEASE ASK ME TO LEAVE IF YOU ARE PLEASE OH GOD". Yeah, I didn't get to see the inside of my own room as often as I'd have liked. :D

Oh and she totally gave him keys to the apartment we got our second year. I'd come home some days and he'd be sitting there like he owned the place. WTF I DON'T LEARN MY LESSONS, EVER. Haha oh the memories!

Oh, god. I wouldn't be able to put up with that, and my roommate knows that I would chew her out if she even thought about pulling stunts like that.

As for next year, I plan on living with Rio and two other girls in suite and/or apartment style housing on-campus where we each have our own rooms, but even then I'd be cautious before attempting to do something like that with a boyfriend.

It's good that you'll have your own rooms, I think that was the real problem with my situation. Even in our apartment, we split two rooms between four girls. The lack of privacy really gets to you after a while, no matter how much you love the others.

Oddly enough, the situation got so bad that I haven't talked to that one roommate in a couple years now - and we were super close when we first moved in together, friends from HS and all that. But now, a couple years later, I'm still super close with the other two girls in my apartment, who I didn't know at all when we first moved in. :D

I guess it's true what people say, living together either makes or breaks your friendship. Haha not that I want to freak you out or anything! I just had some really shit luck for a couple years.

As long as nobody passes out apartment keys like candy to any boys. Chicks before dicks, or something. HAHAHA DID I JUST TYPE THAT? WHY YES, YES I DID.

Yeah, all of the girls that I'll be living with next year are people that I met this year, but we get along well enough that we decided to live together. Also, we all have different majors, so we figured that since we might not be able to see each other that much next year, the best way to guarantee seeing each other would be to live together.

haha. Nah, you didn't freak me out, or anything. I mean, if something doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out. Oh, no. I will make sure that there is no passing around of the keys. :D

I was thinking about really sitting down this weekend and making some progress on the Ship From Hell. I'm more focused on that one right now, because it's due first. I only want this to be a one-shot, and I usually don't send anything to a beta until it's completely finished. But do you want to see whatever I have by the end of the weekend?

The gen fic won't be ready for anyone's consumption until after February starts, I'm thinking.

Hopefully I won't be cutting into any of your time with these fics - but I promise I'm easy to beta for! I think, haha.

ALSO I am working on Ch. 4 of Ladies & Gentlemen. And Assassin!Ginny - which will be D/G, I've decided. So, y'know. Lots for me to work on. :D
