[EDIT] Here is my Pimp for the Week:
The D/G Fic (and Art!!) Exchange has started their sign-ups for their fall round. If you want to sign-up (and I think you should because the mods are phenomenal, and the exchange itself is incredibly well-run), then you can click on the link above that says "lovelies" to see my Friends' page, OR you can visit the Exchange's LiveJournal directly by clicking here:

There IS a theme this time around, though, so for those of you who are participating, please be mindful of their theme when creating your fic and art prompts. I've already signed up, so I'm good to go. I'm not going to tell you all what I asked for in my prompt, though, so don't even ask me. :P Oh, and sign-ups last until the 20th of September, so make sure to get your prompt in before the 20th if you want to participate.
Oh, and I have started writing chapter 7 of Theories on How Danger Finds Us! :D [/EDIT]
Seeing as I have a lot of time on my hands now that I'm in college, in addition to hanging with friends, going to classes, eating, and sleeping, I've been making good use of Photoshop CS3. Recently, though, I've been doing stuff dedicated to non-fandom related things. Mainly one of my favorite groups from the MTV show, America's Best Dance Crew, Fanny Pak. If you have not seen videos of their performances, YouTube them, or go on www.mtv.com >> Shows >> America's Best Dance Crew, Season 2 >> Watch Full Episodes. It used to be that you could watch the individual performances, but I guess since the show is over for this season, they changed that. Oh well.
Anyways, they always had some of the most dynamic, appealing shots from their performances, and, again, since they were my favorite group, I thought I'd do a series of graphics with photos from each performance. I'm working backwards, though, since they had some really good shots at the end. And although they won the VMA challenge (YAY!!), there aren't any photos from their pre-show performance (that I know of).
Episode 8:

For their last time on the show, the theme was the 80's. Being a group influenced entirely by the 80's, I was sad to see them go. For their first dance, they had to take a popular dance craze from the 80's and add their own twist to it. They chose the "Ice Ice Baby" dance, and had to do the dance horizontal. For their second performance, each group had to take moves from a popular 80's dance movie and add their own spin to it. Fanny Pak got Flashdance, which was perfect, because all of them, except for Beau, are trained in contemporary dance.
Episode 7:

For their seventh week on the show, the theme was to take Missy Elliott songs, watch the music videos for each crew's respective song, and create a routine integrating moves from the music videos and their own moves. By far, this was their best performance, and should have guaranteed them a spot in the top two final crews (it didn't). As a whole, the performance was theatrical, entertaining, and creative as all hell. In a 90-second performance, they were able to hit on the requirements of the challenge, as well as incorporate African dance moves and some acrobatics. From the red tape they wore over their mouths, to their ability to skillfully match their choreography to the lyrics in a way that is both humorous and artistic, this performance was spot on. They have been the only crew, thus far, to have received a standing ovation from both the audience AND all of the judges. This performance, in particular, I can watch over and over again, and never get bored.
Well, those are the only two images I have made so far. I'll post them as I go along.
Enjoy!
