First off, thank you so much to adelagia and turkeyish for their birthday wishes! :D It was very much appreciated. For those of you who are curious, I turned 19 yesterday.

Anyways, here's a recap of the events that ensued on my birthday, both the good and the bad. Yes, there were bad moments because people (and by people, I mean one person) like to act like whiny bitches and ruin things for everyone else.

We're having fun in the
Busch Gardens (and, subsequently, my birthday) just started off on a bad note, as much as I hate to say it. A bunch of my friends (Rio, Leah, Marissa, Genna, Nicole, Erin (BAMF, for story-telling purposes), Natalie, and Chaundra) and I decide that we wanted to go to Busch Gardens (which is, no joke, two blocks away from the USF campus) for my birthday. Great. Awesome. :D We all buy year-long passes which, for a Florida resident, is considerably less than it is for a non-resident (sorry, Natalie and Marissa), and decide to leave campus at 11 am, possibly getting breakfast beforehand. Leah had invited Natalie's roommate, Erin, who, on any other day, I would have been able to deal with her brand of emo whinyness, but on my birthday, I was not willing to deal with that type of fuckery.

So all of us are out in the parking lot by my dorm, about to leave for the park, when Natalie gets a call from Erin: "Hey, I'm not ready yet. Do you think you call can wait another 30 minutes for me? If not, can you stay behind so I can use your free parking pass, Natalie? And I think you should. I can't believe I'm paying $70 for a ticket; that's so expensive." And Natalie, who rarely, and I mean RARELY, gets pissed off at Erin over anything (because Natalie is a saint and is somehow able to put up with this girl), hangs up on Erin and starts ranting about her as we get into the car: "We told her what time we were leaving and she even saw me get up and start getting ready! I already told Mia that I was riding in her car so she could use my free parking and I'm not going to hold up everyone else because my roommate doesn't know how to get ready in time to leave! And everyone has to pay the same amount for a fucking ticket. I had to pay even more because I'm not from Florida."

See, that really bothered me. Although it was my birthday and all, and my friends were trying to make the day all about me (which they successfully did :D), we were all going because we wanted to have a good time. We didn't want to worry about whatever else was going on in our lives, we just wanted to have a great time at the park in celebration of my birthday. The fact that Erin was complaining the entire time bothered me because it made it seem as though she had nothing better to do that day and just felt like tagging along. If you're going to come, at least make an effort to look like your having fun. She didn't do that. She was mopey, wore all black, and made everyone miserable. It was just so emotionally draining being around her. I have no patience for people like that.

And to make matters worse, I let that shit get to me. I couldn't help it. I became detached and that made me even more upset because my friends thought that they had done something to piss me off. Rio realized why I got like that and told everyone, so they understood and forgave me for it, but still. Erin wasn't happy until she saw that everyone around her was just as miserable as she was. Rio said that next time Erin pulls shit like that, I should rip her a new one. Everyone that Erin hangs out with in my dorm thinks that there's something twisted so far up her ass to make her act the way that she does. I, personally, think that she just needs to get laid. Badly.

Other then that thorn in my side, going on all of the roller coasters was loads of fun! :D

Yes, you read that cut title correctly: I went to a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And it was made of ultimate win. :D For this portion of my day, I must document the events prior to leaving campus. Oh, how I would love to post pictures so you all understood how fantastical the evening was.

Getting ready was epic. It was me (as a party guest/Transylvanian), Marissa (also as a party guest), Rio (as a clothed Janet Weiss), Genna (as Brad Majors), and Nicole (as Janet Weiss once Riff Raff relieves her of her clothes). I started getting ready in Rio's room, helping her pick out her dress for the show. Since Genna and Nicole live next door to Rio, she was running in and out showing the two of them possible outfit choices. Rio settles on an outfit and starts picking out accessories when Nicole runs in wearing a slip over her jeans: "Guys! I just remembered that I brought two of my slips with me to school!" At this point, the thought running through mine and Rio's minds was, "Why does Nicole have a slip at school? Oh, wait. It's Nicole. Nevermind. XD" We convince Nicole to wear that, so she runs back to her room and comes back wearing her bra and underwear, with the slip over her underwear. Nicole's completely flat chested and Rio, well, isn't, so Rio hands Nicole a cream colored bra, Nicole puts it on and grabs some tissues from a box on Rio's desk and proceeds to stuff the bra. Satisfied, she states, "I think I found my outfit, guys." And for those of you who don't know about seeing Rocky Horror in a theater at midnight, the thing to do is to dress up as a character from the film and participate with the rest of the audience (and/or with the cast acting alongside the movie, as was the case with the theater I went to last night), and since Janet wears nothing but her bra, underwear and a slip for half of the movie, Nicole's outfit was totally appropriate.

Now, Genna's outfit on the other hand. Oh, lordy. I'm still laughing about it. She decided to dress up as Brad, but much like Nicole, wore underwear. So she had on a white tank and boxers that Nicole made of a white fitted sheet that she didn't use anymore. Yes, Nicole made boxers. Genna slicked her hair back with a side part and wore Nicole's black rimmed glasses. She also made a "package" out of a pair of rolled up socks. XD

Myself, well, I had on dark wash jeans (since I left my black jeans at home), a white v-neck shirt, a black vest, a black cardigan, red low-top Chucks, and I wore my Wayfairers (Ray Bans) during the Time Warp since those things are dark as hell. I did a side French braid that ended near the nap of my neck on the right, so I had a ponytail left over. I teased the shit out of that ponytail, so it was this hot mess resting on my shoulder. It looked amazing, though. :P I also did this really elaborate (relatively speaking, it wasn't exactly elaborate for me since I'm used to doing color guard make-up) eye make-up with glitter and everything so, overall, I looked pretty dang fabulous, if I do say so myself.

Anyways, we leave around 10:30-ish, since it takes about an hour to get their and they recommend getting to the theater at around 11:30.

We get there and there's really not a whole lot of people there for the movie. It's $5 to get in, so it wasn't expensive, or anything. So we're standing outside, waiting for the theater to let people in when we see the guy dressed up as Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry's character) standing inside the little (and I mean little) lobby area. Immediately, Nicole says, "I want a picture with that guy!" We don't get a chance before the show starts, but we do get our picture. :D

We sit down and there's all these people walking around dressed as the characters, but they're cast members. My friends and I are the only ones who are spectators dressed as characters. In fact, many of the cast members ended up talking to us because they thought that we were part of a different company that put on Rocky Horror. So we met the girl who played Magenta (who I normally dress up as), the guy who played Riff Raff (oh, dear sweet Jesus. He was HOT), and the guy who played Frank-N-Furter (the only reason why he started talking to us was because he loved Rio's cleavage...0_0 He turned out to be really nice, though XD).

The entire time we're interacting with the movie -- singing all of the songs, dancing at the appropriate times, yelling out the things your supposed to yell out (Anytime Brad's name is said, you yell out "asshole!" For Janet, it's "slut!" And when they go to the castle for a phone it's "Castle's don't have phones, asshole!" Just to name a few), and we watched them perform the virgin sacrifice, for those who are attending a showing for the first time. No, none of us were virgins. :P It was so much fun. Rio told Frank-N-Furter that it was my birthday, so he sang to me and thanked me for spending my birthday there.

Afterward, Nicole and I were able to take a picture with cast members and we spent another fifteen minutes or so just talking to them. Eventually, we drove back home and didn't get back until 3:45 in the morning, but it was so worth it. :D

Aw, I'm sorry you had to spend part of your special day with a Debbie Downer, but the rest of it sounded pretty epic. :)

I, uh, maybe shouldn't have, but I couldn't help myself. I totally laughed out loud like a maniac when I read She was mopey, wore all black. Sorry that Emo Girl ruined part of the day, but the rest of it sounds like it was amaaazing! Somehow I've never seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show? I dunno how that is, I've got about a bajillion friends who are theatre majors. I want to go and dress up now. :P

haha. I totally don't mind that you laughed about Emo Girl because if it was any other day, I would have, too. This girl is really that ridiculous.

I read your other comment and I think I might post pictures. :) I'll think about it. And you really should see the Rocky Horror Picture Show! It's a lot of fun if you dress up with a huge group of friends. :D
