This is pretty much going to be a play-by-play, with some trips to the Department of Back Story for certain events. Oh, and this is probably going to be a long entry. Just sayin'.

The Ting Tings in Tallahassee! )

Told you it was a long entry.

So I'm almost done registering for my classes for next fall. I'm taking Basic Economics (again. I'm an epic fail at online classes), Intro to Urban Politics and Government, an Honors class about evolution, and some other Honors class. I tried to sign up for the other Honors class that I originally wanted which was about Australia, taught by this Australian dude, but by the time I was able to sign up, it was GONE. :( And today is the first day that ANYONE is allowed to sign up for classes for next fall. Plus, not everyone is allowed to sign up on the first day -- seniors and Honors kids get top priority before anyone else, so I get to register before all of my friends do. I hope I signed up for the class about Korea instead because all of the other ones are about the Middle East and while I don't mind learning about it, those classes aren't my top preference. And what sucks even more is that the Honors website is down so I can't even check which class I signed up for. :( I have to sign up for French tomorrow, though, since I had to get a permit to take freaking French I. I dunno.

Anywho, I had to take a break from Twilight because there's only so much I can handle and there's only so much soothing RPattz! is able to provide visually. I told Erin that I forgot how many awful lines there were in that movie (which is rather sad, considering that the screenplay writer got nominated for two Emmys for her work on Dexter, I believe), not to mention the fact that Kristen Stewart is practically deadpan for the ENTIRE FREAKING FILM!

Blergh. I'm getting tired and I need to take a shower. And it's only 9:03. Not cool.

Chapter 2 of Through a Long and Sleepless Night is up on both FIA and Portkey.

It's shorter than the first chapter, but, hopefully, they'll be a bit longer from now on.

Enjoy! :D

So it's official. I have unpacked, organized everything, and have settled in to my dorm at my college. My roommate is here and everything. She's really nice and a lot like me, actually, but more into the Hollister/Abercrombie scene. I'm not; I'm more of a amalgamation of different styles (prepster chic, urban, with lots of shift dresses and vibrant fabrics), but it's totally cool. I went out with her and her best friend (who came down from Virginia to help her move) tonight and it was okay. A bit awkward because I got the feeling that a lot of the parties she goes to, she ends up drinking at. I don't mind drinking, but I just don't do it that often. And she even said later on that she usually doesn't have lots of fun while sober.

I had to go back to our dorm, though, because I'm hypoglycemic (basically, if my blood sugar gets too low, I pass out) and we didn't eat dinner. I'm okay now, but I didn't want to risk going back out because sometimes it can take me a while to get my body completely back to normal depending on how long I wait between eating. I waited a while before eating finally having dinner, so I'm still a little bit off. I should be fine in the morning.

I'm super excited to start classes! I really like the fact that I'm exempt from a whole bunch of classes because of APs, but at the same time, I'm going to miss having an English class (I don't have to take freshmen English at all because I did so well on my APs). XD Call it the literary nerd in me, but I'm kind of sad about not having to read lit. for a class. Which is why I brought some lit. with me! I brought A Passage to India by E.M. Forester, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, and The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Basically, books that I reference in Theories on How Danger Finds Us. haha.

Speaking of fanfic, I have not started writing chapter 7 for Theories, nor have I started writing chapter 3, Summer, for Every Season. Can I just say the the reviews I have received for Every Season on FIA have been wonderful? Because really they have. =D Oh! And for those that even remember the story, I have submitted chapter five of my other WIP, The Prince, to one of my betas (No, not you, Eugenia. This is another one. One I had before you that asked if she could finish The Prince with me. You shall be getting it soon.). I wrote the rest of it in one sitting after digging up some notes that I had on the story before I left for school. I really liked the way it turned out. It's a bit more snarky than previous chapters, which is good, and I think, to a certain extent at least, that you can see the change in my style of writing. Or, more like, how much I have matured as a writer with chapter 5, in comparison to chapters previous. So hopefully, that'll be posted soon.

And since [livejournal.com profile] astoria_potter tagged me:
