So I'm curious: does anyone have/or is interested in getting a Dreamwidth account?

I have one because I signed in to the website with OpenID and they sent me an invite code, which is the only way to currently get an account (unless you buy an account). I'm also interested in seeing if the fandoms that claim their going to make a mass exodus to the more "fandom friendly" Dreamwidth are actually going to go through with it.

Thus far, it's not too shabby. They don't have everything up and running yet (like they don't have a logged in home page), but because they apparently used the same code that LiveJournal uses, almost everything looks exactly like LJ.

If you want one, try logging in through OpenID and see if they give you one. If not, I can always request to get invite codes. :)

Here's my Dreamwidth journal: mia_alexandria. It's pretty much the same premise as this one: real life and fandom stuff, but the user name is the ideal name that I would like for this journal.

It took me a while to get a fandom journal because I never used my real life journals, so I thought that I would never use this one.

And, supposedly, Dreamwidth has been promoting itself in a lot of fandoms as being more lenient when it comes to creative freedom policies (basically, it's for all those people that weren't allowed to post porn in the form of fanart/fic). I got one just in case, but it looks like that no one's really moving.
