Finally, I was able to start chapter 14 of A Study of the Mind. Took me over a month to finally get inspiration (Usually, it takes me a week before I start on the next chapter), but I got it after printing up chapter 13 and reading it over. That and reading some of the reviews (and subsequent replies) that I recieved for chapter 13. I decided that through this chapter, I was going to answer a lot of the questions and tie up some of the (what I believe to be) plot holes that became apparent to me after reading what I have written so far. There were a lot of them in chapter 5. Not many may have noticed, but I did, and I'm irked by them, so I figure that with the help of Narcissa, I should be able to clear up some of those points.
But enough about that. Here's the first part of chapter 14. I have more written, but lately I've just been giving away the first part of each chapter.
From chapter 14, Plans
She sat down in the manor’s atrium.
A powder blue sundress adorned her body; its fitted bodice, topped off by a sweetheart bust line, and mid-calf length skirt perfected the society matron look she was going for today.
She wasn’t exactly sure why she decided to wear a sundress in the middle of January, but she was in the atrium and it was rather warm compared to the frigid weather outside its glass walls.
She looked at the small table in front of her; a seat opposite her, obviously meant for the guest her was planning to receive at any minute. There was a wide variety of small cakes and sandwiches, as well as a ceramic tea set with a royal blue floral pattern on it.
At that time, one of her many house elves approached her.
“Mistress, Miss Weasley is here to see the Mistress. Does Mistress want Nessa to bring her to the atrium for tea?” the small house elf asked with her head bowed.
Narcissa turned her attention to the house elf in front of her.
“Thank you, Nessa. And please send in Miss Weasley.”
Nessa did a low bow in front of Narcissa before leaving the atrium.
It's un-betaed, but whatev. It'll be fixed up and that whole shebang before I post it onto my usual sites.
